Alan Caplan

Founder & CEO, MoteNet, Inc.

Alan currently is CEO of Motenet, Inc.  a start-up company developing mobile, location based information services.  Prior to founding Motenet, Alan led business and Legal affairs for Blue Origin, LLC, an early-stage technology company creating reusable, commercial space technologies.  He worked for more than a decade with communications and online retailers in the Pacific Northwest.  Alan held several management positions at Amazon.com including General Counsel, Vice President and General Manager (Kitchen and Payments) and Vice President, Corporate Development.  He holds a degree in business from the University of Michigan Honors College and a law degree from the University of Chicago Law School.
