Evan is the author of several books on Microsoft Access and Office, including Access Visual Basic Step by Step (Microsoft Press, 2003) and Access Annoyances (O'Reilly, 2005). He joined NPower in 2005, after 10 years as an independent consultant providing solutions to dozens of businesses and nonprofits. Before that, he spent 6 years at Microsoft Corporation as a technical writer and manager. As Senior Consultant with NPower, Evan divides his time between technology planning and software development.
Evan assists clients in selecting and implementing database systems or developing Microsoft Access databases, and creates feature-rich web sites based on the Plone content management system.
Evan has served as a volunteer and board member at several nonprofits, including University District Food Bank and Good Cheer in Langley. In his free time, Evan enjoys sailing, playing music, and tending his garden and orchard on Whidbey Island.
