About NPower Seattle

Our Guiding Philosophy

Our vision is a thriving nonprofit sector in which all organizations have access to the best technology resources and know-how and can apply these tools to help create healthy, vibrant, thriving communities.

Our mission is to help Washington State nonprofits use technology to better serve their communities.

We are passionate about the work of nonprofits.  Every NPower Seattle service, strategy and value is informed by and evaluated on what helps nonprofits succeed at achieving their missions.

History

NPower Seattle is the original organization that led to creation of the NPower Network - the only national network of local nonprofits dedicated to helping other nonprofits use technology effectively and creatively.  Formed in 1999 by a visionary group of funders and nonprofits leaders, NPower Seattle works to ensure that all nonprofits can use technology to expand the reach and impact of their services.

Since opening our doors in 1999, we have spent a lot of time helping over 1,200 local nonprofits, delivering over 70,000 hours of direct consulting, and training over 12,700 nonprofit employees and volunteers.  In 2008, NPower Seattle served over 575 nonprofits by providing over 15,400 hours of direct consulting service and training to over 1,100 nonprofit employees and volunteers.
