Alan currently leads Business and Legal affairs for Blue Origin, LLC; an early stage technology company creating reusable space technologies that are moving towards affordable commercial space travel. He worked for more than a decade with communications and online retailers in the Pacific Northwest. In his former role as Vice President of Corporate and Product Development at Amazon.com Inc, he led successful ventures into new business models. These ventures included the 'honor pay' - a payment system for website content that reduces the need for advertisements online. He holds a degree in business from the University of Michigan Honors College and a law degree from the University of Chicago Law School.
