Elaina Buzzell
Program Coordinator
Elaina Buzzell graduated from the University of Iowa in 2003 with a B.A. in English and Religion. Along with her studies, worked at the University's Main Library, volunteered for the campus women's center, hosted a weekly show with the campus radio station, tutored non-traditional college students, and was an officer in the University of Iowa chapter of the Golden Key International Honour Society.
Soon after, she started with the Women's Health Project, a non-profit women's health facility, as their Community Programs Assistant. In that position, she coordinated their marketing program, edited and wrote for the organization's newsletter, organized and served on the organization's speakers bureau, and she designed advertisements, fundraising materials, and organizational materials.
She stayed in that position until the summer of 2006 when she moved to Seattle with her partner. She briefly worked in the for-profit world before joining the team at NPower Seattle. In her spare time she volunteers on the communications committee of the Bikery, a bicycling education organization. She loves making things, and generally keeps her hands busy with knitting, crocheting, cooking, or other "crafty" endeavors.
