Overview of partnerships and grant-funded projects
Inspiring Innovation
NPower Seattle partners with individual nonprofits and with other service providers to offer training and capacity-building support and to inspire innovative use of technology in nonprofits' service delivery.
Building Capacity & Inspiring Relevant Innovation in Bellingham & Wenatchee
Thanks to generous funding from the Greater Everett Community Foundation (GECF), NPower Seattle aims to help improve life opportunities for hard to reach populations in the Bellingham & Wenatchee communities by providing technology know-how to selected local nonprofits that serve them.
More information, the training needs survey, and class information/registration can be found on our GECF page.
Training and Community Building for Community Technology Providers
In partnership with the Communities Connect Network, NPower Seattle provides training and online community building to support the work of Community Technology providers throughout Washington State. Communities Connect Network (CCN) offers
- a menu of free capacity-building trainings

Earned Income Tax Credit Project, 2005-2007
Thanks to support from the Medina Foundation, NPower Seattle's Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Project strengthened the technology competency of nonprofit staff in teaching clients about online tax preparation tools. Our immediate goal was to inspire more widespread use of technology tools that can help to address the problem of millions of dollars in unclaimed Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) credits. Longer term, this was a demonstration project on the effective use of online tools to better serve low income families and individuals in our community.
As part of this project we assembled a toolkit on Using Online Tools.
In 2007 our direct work on the EITC Project transitioned to supporting Community Technology providers in Washington State through our partnership with Communities Connect Network (CCN).
Tech-Savvy Communications Project, 2006
In partnership with Seattle-area nonprofits, NPower Seattle developed a methodology for key message development and communications planning, and created the Tech-Savvy Communications toolkit to walk nonprofits through the process.
