Membership

NPower Seattle's members form a vibrant community of more than 300 organizations committed to using technology to better serve the Puget Sound region.

Our nonprofit members range from organizations with little or no technology expertise to tech-savvy organizations that need strategic technology advice to achieve their long-term goals.  We serve nonprofits of all sizes with diverse missions, from housing the homeless to staging educational children's theater.

The Essentials of Membership:

Due to the low cost of membership, it pays for itself quickly, leaving you money to spend on replacing that [ancient & frustrating] printer, take additional NPower classes, or to do what you do best: delivering your services to our community!

Why become a member?
Access and discounts. Depending on how many services an organization uses in a year, members can save a lot of their hard-earned money through discounts on our training and consulting services.  Members can also take advantage of our free volunteer match program.

Who can become a member?
NPower Membership is available to all 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charities in Washington State, with the exception of places of worship.

Who should become a member?
We recommend joining if you are a non-profit located in the Puget Sound area and you think you will use our services more than two or three times within the year.  Here's an example: Agency XYZ is a small human services agency with a staff of 20 and an operating budget of $250,000 a year. They’ve been looking to move to a new database platform and have been granted free nonprofit user licenses by the Salesforce Foundation; they would like to take the Salesforce Foundations class to get the basics on how to use this new tool. In addition, they would like to engage an NPower consultant in a planning project to learn about migrating to their new database and if any customizations will be necessary. They also happen to have a new staff member that needs to get up to speed by taking an Excel class.

For organizations outside the Puget Sound Area, here is something to think about: travel time is included in your scope of work. So, the further away from Seattle you are, the more you might pay for a consulting project. Not to fret, we have options for nonprofits located in Washington State beyond the Puget Sound area, but we'd like to chat with you before you send in your membership check.
