What is the process for becoming an NPower member?
To become a member:
1. Fill out our online membership form. This form asks some general questions about your organization including contact information, your IRS Employee Identification Number (EIN), and your annual operating budget to see where you fall on our sliding fee scale.
2. Submit the form and we will send you a confirmation email.
3. Print a copy of this email and send it along with your membership dues to: NPower Seattle;Welch Plaza Building, 403 - 23rd Avenue South; Seattle, WA 98144.
Who can be an NPower Seattle member?
Membership is available to all 501(c)(3) public nonprofit charities that are registered in King, Pierce or Snohomish counties.
Once I submit the form, when can my organization start using NPower Seattle services?
You may start using member services as soon as we receive your membership form and payment. You will receive an email confirming that we have received your check and a welcome packet outlining our membership services in the mail. Once you've got the membership packet in hand, you may register for classes or contact us for hands-on technology assistance.
How much will membership for my organization cost?
NPower membership dues are based on your organization's annual operating budget. In an effort to create an equitable pricing structure for our services, NPower's membership rates are based on a sliding scale fee structure. Dues start at $50 and go up to $500.
What are the benefits of being an NPower member?
For Puget Sound organizations, NPower membership entails funder-provided subsidies on our consulting and training services, as well as facilitated use of our volunteer matchmaking program. You will also receive our quarterly newsletter and other informational resources and events. Please click here for a complete list of member benefits.
Do I have to be a member to use NPower Services?
No. Any 501(c)(3) public charity in the Puget Sound area, with the exception of places of worship, is more than welcome to use many NPower services and pay the non-member rate. Due to the low cost of membership, it pays for itself quickly and offers a significant savings on services. So, we do recommend joining if you think you will use our services more than two or three times within the year.
How long will membership last?
Membership is annual and lasts one year from the date we receive your member dues. When your membership year comes to an end, we'll send you an inquiry to see if you would like to renew!
