Easy to Manage Websites
(What is a CMS and why do you need one?)
A Content Management System (CMS) is a tool that helps automate and ease the process of publishing content to your website. It makes it easy for nonprofits to quickly update their website without having coding skills.
A CMS separates the many elements of website into components, or layers. One layer is content. A second is the graphic design (logo, font, pictures, graphics) and layout on your site. A final layer is the coding that makes it work. Once the coding and layout work is complete, you can update your content without ever having to interact with the underlying code or design - that's what makes a CMS work. See our CMS FAQ for additional information.
