Databases & Constituent Relationship Management (CRM)
NPower helps nonprofits plan for, select and implement databases to help them better track their fundraising, volunteer, client, and program needs.
NPower has helped dozens of nonprofits plan and implement solutions for managing critical data. We leverage state of the art tools such as Salesforce to help you track and communicate with your donors, clients, and other constituents.
Planning
We believe that a thorough planning process will save nonprofits time and money. Planning projects may take 8-30 hour, during which we will:
- Interview key staff
- Review existing data, (Excel, Outlook, existing databases, Word documents, etc) reporting needs and other requirements in all forms
- Model your existing work flow to help you choose where you may need changes in your new system
- Model the new systems so you can see how the database will meet your needs
- Create a technical specification which you can use to implement and/ or to seek funding
Implementation
We use the information we've gathered to implement a new database, or to help you find an off the shelf tool that meets your needs. NPower consultants will:
- Help you prepare your data for migration to the new system
- Customize input screens, drop down lists, permissions and work flows
- Create reports to meet your needs
- Provide custom documentation and training
- Coach and support your staff during the transition
Our Tools
We're fluent with many database technologies, including Salesforce, MS Access, MS SQL, and others. Whenever possible, we'd prefer to use an existing platform such as Salesforce, rather than starting a project with a blank slate.
